Why Trustee? Why now?

I left the library after 27 years to pursue a different career path. Though libraries remain my first love, like any love story, my career interests evolved.

I have always been a life long learner. I’ve studied five world languages and attended countless professional development workshops. In August 2023, I left the Library and went back to school and earned several certificates in Cybersecurity. The more I learned, the more I found myself wanting to advocate for libraries to harden their computer systems against threat actors (hackers). It is not a matter of if a library’s systems will be breached, but when. It was then the idea to run for Library Trustee was born.

As a library trustee it is my hope that I can use my vast knowledge of library services and systems to help guide the library to a brighter and more protected future.
